track and field and such earthly horrors

soo im not very good at keeping this bloggie shtick. here it is, already May, and my last post was at Christmas! My mumma will be delighted when she notices me, typing away busily, ignoring the beautiful sunlight streaming in through my window. She might even let me stay up late, because I'm working on my blog. Possibly even with a snack. Or tea. Either way I'll be happy, because track and field is officially over. finally. i thought I was going to keel over with the exercise. It's not in my nature to try especially hard in phys-ed. Not that I'm going to EVER need that, anyways. Oh yeah, I want to be a professional hockey player when I'm older. Better start training to throw a heavy steel ball as far as I can! Probably get better at chucking a frisbee! Cuz that's gonna help me! Become a stinking hockey player! Or dental hygienist! Whatever! My name is Julia, for pete's sake. What hockey player do you know named Julia?? It sounds more like...i dunno. A teacher. Or something. A tattoo artist. Or just a normal artzi type of person. I could get used to that.
So hence my title, lets just touch down on the subject of earthly horrors. Rain, per say? Or broccoli? I hate both. Rain just makes everything wet and nasty and sloppy. Perfect weather to go read. And not go to school, hmm? And broccoli, eh, broccoli. Horrendous stuff, it is. Hey, I'm just fine with eating carrots and cucumbers and other such rabbit food. Yams, even! Throw em at me! But broccoli? No. It's like eating trees, just with a nasty-er taste. And texture. And colour. And overall apperance. When I get older, I don't have to eat them! This, my friends, is the reason I'm so excited to grow up. And also possibly the fact that I can drive.

Ok so now I'm bored. Bye!

The Joys of Winter

Today I had a lovely sleepover with my dear friend. Coincidentally, today happened to be the first snowfall in ages. I am lucky enough to live close to a forest, and the trees looked absolutely stunners against the bright blue of the morning sky. I marvel at the glory of God- what must He be like, if this lowely Earth is so beautiful? My friend and I went on a walk in the forest. If you can call it a walk. I would more describe it as a scramble. :) We had a delightful time, sucking icicles and brushing snow off our noses. The joys of winter. I am so blessed.
Once we arrived back home to the warm fireplace and sweet hot chocolate, I taught this girl how to knit. We had a lovely time, chatting and knitting by the fireside, sipping piping-hot tea. Such grannys.
I am currantly knitting a shawl. It is made with the 'basketweave stitch' and is composed of several earthy colours, such as deep orange, green, brown, cream, and white. It is turning out swell, even though I suck at knitting! :)
Did you know my favourite movie is Avatar? I have seen it NINE times. :) And just saw it again last night. I enjoy fantasy books and movies immensely. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Avatar, The Secret World of Og, and Eragon are some of my favourites. When the weather is cold and the house is warm, I start thinking about books a bit more. I LOVE books. So much. I think they might just be the best thing ever. I am such a noob, knitting, reading, blogging, playing ameteur piano, card and board games, and...Facebook. I am a Facebook addict. Not good, I'm trying to rid myself of this unfortunate habit.

I should scoot, sups ready. :)

Big Bird's Ticklish Christmas

A little poem to brighten your Christmas. :)

Twas Christmas time on Sesame Street,
But Big Bird felt quite grumpy
"I wanted these gifts to look pretty," he
wailed, "but instead they look quite lumpy!"

But then that bird began to smile. And
then he started wriggling.
Someone was tickling him, you see! Soon
Big Bird started giggling!

What happened next sounds silly, but it's
absolutely true.
Some Christmas shoppers heard him...
and they started laughing, too!

Next there passed some carolers singing
"Fa la la la la!"
They heard the laughs, then changed
their tune to "Ha ha ha ha ha!"

Around the corner Prairie Dawn was
trimming a Christmas tree.
She heard the people laughing and began
to tee hee hee!

Cookie was making Christmas treats,
sprinkling them with glitter.
Some people walked by laughing, so he
started to giggle and titter!

One person would start laughing, then
another one would hear.
Soon everyone on Sesame Street had
caught the Christmas cheer!

The whole world now was laughing.
Who had started it?
Do YOU know?

A monster filled with Christmas cheer-
you guessed it:
Your friend Elmo!

Aloneness sucks.

Wow. I have just looked at my dear friend Corinna's blog again, and I am thoroughly touched. <3 Please, please check her blog out! It is so fabulous I want to cry! :P

Today my parent abandoned me. For two whole days. They left me with my grandparents. Even at the OLD age of 13, I still cried..after they left, of course. Don't want them thinking I'm a cryteenager or sumthing!! I'm gonna miss those guys. :(

Just a while ago, we had family pictures. I love family pictures, because the focus is all on me. :D We went to a really pretty place in Auguston, right in the bushes and etc. I enjoyed myself, even though it rained.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! But make sure it's not as good as mine! Pip pip cheerio!!

I am jealous.

I am only writing in here, because I have recently discovered that my sister has a blog. :O Golly gee, what is the world coming to?? Actually, her blog is quite splendiferous. So..really, I'm mostly jealous. Mostly.

Today is Halloween, and boy, am I stoked. :) I love Halloween. Shame be to the ones who don't dress up. Unless, of course, you don't BELEIEVE in Halloween. But, I'm always up for a party! My friend and I are going trick or treating tonight. *excitement* I am ALL set! I will post pictures of my wonderful costume later, once I actually have some pictures, of course.

I am finding myself out of things to write about. Sure, my life rocks, friends are fab... now what? Maybe my llfe should suck, and then I would have more interesting things to write about. My mum always does, and as far as I know, her life is going fine! Same with ma sis!! I guess I could make some lists...

Ok, here goes my OFFICIAL list making attempt:

List of books I like
Harry Potter- J.K. Rowling
Lord of the Rings- J.R.R Tolkien
School of Fear- Gitty Daneshvari
If I Die Before I Wake- Jean Little
His Banner Over Me-Jean Little (mostly all books by Jean Little are fab. :D)
A Wrinkle in Time- Madeline L'Engle
Eragon- Christopher Paolini
The Sky is Falling- Kit Pearson

Thats about all I can think of right now. Gotta go clean my room. <3

New School!!! YAY!!

Well, my life is good. :) I like life. Sparkles! Glitter! Shiny! Ducks! You can't really get much better than that. Of course, it would be better if it was summer vacation...but really, who cares!? I am at a new school. I really love it. Like, a lot. Like seriously a lot. Like I might even marry it...or not. Plus my hamster is losing weight(I like to think) and my room is sort of cleanish. And I just earned 44 dollars. YAY!!! One minute...I have to go to the bathroom. You may want to take this interruption to take a look around the room, make sure there are no people robbing your house...ok? Everything good? Good.

I am officially following a new blog! It's my friend's blog, called Pianos and Pirouettes. You should check it out. It rocks the kasba!

It is Thanksgiving weekend this week(end) and I love having FIVE stinking days off of school! YAY!! My sister's birthday party was yesterday, and I made cake pops (bakerella.com) to celebrate! Boy, were they fabby! :P I am quite proud. My life is happy right now. But...I should go. Not really. Just want to go now. SO... BYE!!! ~MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU~

Snowy July

That title really doesn't have anything to do with this- it just sounded cool. Buuut... there actually was snow in July, somewhere in Alberta. Jasper, perhaps? I even saw pictures. That's how much I know about this freak of nature. (Sounds cool, again) And so yeah. Today my mum has a friend over and I've been thinking about how fat I am. JUST KIDDING!!! JUST KIDDING!!! JUST KIDDING!!! I just realized that was not a very funny joke. Some people in this world actually have a disease like that. *sigh*. I'm just not one of them. LUCKILY!!! Cuz I love food. It's like, my favourite thing ever! ANYWAYS... back to my mum's frind et. all!

I am sitting here with the laptop on my lap. (haha.) And I am eating stolen property. (ie. jellybeans) and they are goood! Have you ever noticed that the stolen stuff tastes better? Just kidding. That wasn't very funny, either. Crap. As you may notice, I am overly bored and may start trying to yodel. (which wouldn't actually be that bad, cuz I've always wanted to be able to yodel.)

I made my bed this morning. I am quite afraid there might be a spider in there. I am deathly afraid of spiders. I have washed everything. (sheets, pillowcases, etc.) But who knows if it's still there! I have...wait... 7 bites on my bod, and who KNOWS if they are mosquito or spider! Jeez! It's like impossible to tell! None of them have started turning green and flaking yet, so I'm not THAT scared. But I'm scared enough to wash my sheets. So yesh.

Today I went to the orthodontist... at 8 30 this morning. *sigh* I was about to kill the nearest thing (ie. my hamster) But I would never kill that darling. So I miiight have to resort to my lurvly brother. (or not.) I hate waking up. I would LOVE to meet the guy who made that up. Stupid. Some people in this world!

I feel ashamed for spending so much time typing on this keyboard like and old person. Soooo.... bye!

Whoopsie. Typical me.

Hey fellows. Just ignore the fact that this retard website hasn't been updated since 1754. Just think of beautiful unicorn princesses, pooping out butterflies and dancing on rainbows. Wow. Just the thought of that overwhelms me. Especially since I'm sitting right by my hamster's cage that hasn' t been cleaned for 3 weeks. Yuckers. What are you doing this summer? I am SO excited for all that junk. Hmmm.... my dad is bbq-ing in the pouring rain. Typical. Maybe we could hope and pray for a sunny day so we can REALLY bbq!!! The thought is overwhelming. I have a sneaking suspision that I've used the term before. Yup. My instincts were correct. (hint: look at the 3rd line of this post. Not that it will be the same or anything, cuz it's diff once you actually post the post. HAHAHAHA!!!! post the post!!! lololol)
Ok. People. Here's your useless fact of the day. (I'm clearing my throat right now. I really am. So just use your useless imagination and pretend you could hear me. Or really hear me. Your choice. ) Did you know that 55% of Americans didn't know the sun is a star? Those Americans. It's not their fault.
Ok. I'm off, suckas. Not that you really look at this, because I haven't written since... 1754. Luv ya.

My Wolverine Man

Ok, that last post was an accident. Whoops. Hey, you know about the poop guy blowing up the Sun and whatnot? Well, I decided against the idea. He can blow up the Moon if he wants to. My wolverine man will blow up the Sun with a giant needle full of green poison. Then of course we'll all live in Snuggies underground- OOHHH! And all the criminals will be thrown above ground to freeze! But wait. Who will dig the holes? Hmmm.... maybe my dad. They would need to be close to the center of the Earth, so we could be warm and cozy. I get on to that. Just give him a thermos of hot chocolate with whipped cream, and he's on a roll! My wolverine man is pretty cool- he's a mutant. He's also my BFF. He has really long claws. The red eyes are sort of creepy, and that's why I bought him a pair of dark sunglasses for his birthday!!
Oh, just a reminder, he will get to work in about 7 days, (it will take him 4 days to blast to the Sun) so everyone remember to buy your Snuggie! It is pretty cool, because they come in multi colours. I know, right?
FANTASTIC MR.FOX ROX YOUR SOX OFF!!!!!
BT (burnt toast)

This post is an accident.

Please do not take any notice of this post. Just think of Telus ads. (Aren't they awesome????)
See ya.

Nutcracker Ballet

Whoever made up the term 'ballet' probably lived 56,000 years ago. Like, have you ever thought about how stinking old the stupid dance is? (No offense to all those ballerinas and ballerboys out there [is that really what you call boy ballerinas?]) Anyway, my mum, sister and I are going to see the Nutcracker ballet. My brothers are seeing Fantastic Mr. Fox. NOT a ballet. Wouldn't that be weird, a bunch of little animals, prancing around in tutus? Haha. I tried to be a ballerina once, at school. My friend is a ballerina, and lets just say I failed even more than I failed at being a vegetarian. (I had a delicious sausage the first night. BY ACCIDENT.) How is it possible to fall on both arms and both legs at once? Seriously, I think I pulled something that day. BUT maybe I can't do ballet, but I CAN do clapping routines! =] =] No. That's mostly my mum. =] =] But I think clapping routines are pretty cool in their own way! Ok, I'm gonna do SpellCheck now. They said I spelled 'ballerboys' wrong. Also 'haha', 'Ok', and 'SpellCheck.' But I like how I spelled spellcheck. It's pretty cool, so I'm not changing it.
My mum bought this totally awesome glasses case for her PHONE!!! I really want to steal it, but I'll have to wait until she's out running or something. It's sparkly silver and totally gigantic. I'm staring longingly at it. But then I just spelled longingly wrong. Darn. Plus, she doesn't even have glasses! But I DO!!! Golly!
Luv Burnt Toast. (My new name)

A Little Note on Flossing Part II

Why flossing, you may ask. What's the point of putting string in your teeth? Yes, it can be useful if, for instance, you have gigantor teeth (like me) and have just eaten corn. On the cob. It's not the most pleasant look to have like, yellow bits in your teeth!

Did you like my picture last post? I like it a lot. AND... EYE WAZ TEH WON HOO POOT ON TEH EYES AND MOWTH!!!! WOW!!! (oh, and the eyebrows.) Er, the comment, on the last post, that was actually my mum. NOT me. Just so you know.

OH!!! Do you like my new look? I think it rocks. Especially how it's green. And other colours. Not just navy. Not slamming navy, but when something is the colour of my uniform for school, (Eurugh....) I'm not all that fond.

Do you like the picture? It's my hammy star again. (I wish. Oliver is much fatter and he is usually seen with his mouth full.) Maybe this is him as a baby! Ok, here's another one... wait for it... Ok, never mind. The computer isn't letting me.

See ya.

Thursday, November 26, 2009

My mum made me write this. I really thought it was a waste of time, seeing as I am a busy girl with much to do. Lots. Much. Whateva. Seriously, I could be climbing Mt. Everest right now, but nooo... wee baby Joouls has to print in her itty-bitty bloggiekins! There are hundreds of things I could be doing, just to name a few, (mostly to take up space) eating a simosa, wreaking my mum's camera, figuring out how to hack into my principal's private computer, washing my hands with candy-corn flavoured soap to prevent H1N1, setting the house on fire, digging a hole to China, trying to figure out how to do magic, and more!

Ok, here is a picture, because that is just the kind of techie I am. Isn't it awesome? Soon this little fella will grow up to be big and strong, and then take over the earth, blow up the Sun, and we will have to all live underground in Snuggies with our families. The end.

Saturday, October 31, 2009

HEY!!!! I forgot to tell you!!!! I got a hamster!!! Wow!!!! His name is Oliver. James. Or Ollie for short, but he prefers Codwall. He also prefers it when I don't touch him much. =[ This picture was taken when he was just a baby, and he is much er, larger now. Especially when he has just shoved a full half bowl of food in one cheek!

Some facts. 1. he loves apples. 2. his record is pooing 27 times in one bath 3. he has only bitten a human 4 times. 4. his ears are abnormally large 5. he has a girlfriend called Bellatrix.

ok, I'm done now.

Halloween is here!

And that means creepy decorations. And THAT means nightmares for the next month about ghastly corpses coming out of the ground to strangle me. =O But, I'm being Tinkerbell! No creepiness there! With my lovely green leafy skirt and dainty little tiara... how lovely. No faux graveyards, no dead people coming out of the grass, apparently coming to life again. (oh!) But.... who am I to complain- a full months worth of candy! (if I save it, that is.)

Do you love my photography skills? Nah, that's actually a sample picture from my computer. =] But lets just say I did take this, and I can put 'photography' on my official list of skills!

Ok, see you l8r, alligator.

Harry Potter...

...Rules. I'm on my 9th round on them. Yay! And GUESS WHAT ELSE??? I, Julia I'm-Not-Telling-You-My-Last-Name is writing a prequel to the Harry Potter series. (had trouble spelling that. =] ) I'm quite amazed at my own brilliace. I think I could be the next... uh... whats his name again? Hmmm... well, like the guy whose name starts with an 'E'. Albus Ebenstratford, or something.
Do you think that I could go on reading Harry Potter over and over again for the rest of my life? Cuz that's where I'm heading. Next thing you know I'll be in jail. But- maybe if it turns out that magic DOES exist, then I'll be all set! (Don't tell anyone, but I even have a wand and everything.) =O Oh darn, gotta go.
Piano practice, ABC's of Life Project, (mean face there) cleaning of the hamster's cage, and... AAHHHH!
Bye.
